Here {She} Comes…

Back in June, yes June my mother and I threw my sister’s baby shower for the arrival of her first born, Jordan Noel Golston. This baby shower went into a lot of detail and took a few months to finally get everything set up. Of course being the photographer I am I had to photograph the entire baby shower. Below are some of the photos I snapped. If anyone has any questions about how we made anything of where we bought some items feel free to ask. I am more than welcome to answer.

San Diego {Ladies}

I had the pleasure of being able to work with three lovely ladies down in San Diego. It was a quick little shoot but it was quite fun. It was a great chance to meet two new women. These girls are a joy to work with and hopefully I’ll get to work with them again sometime. Thank you Brittney, Jessica, and Christina!! Here are some images from their shoot.

Diefendorf {Wedding}

I had the chance last month to take part in a good friend’s wedding. As she was my brother’s first roommate we both traveled out to San Bernardino for the day to celebrate with her. I had met her fiance a few times before but I ended up knowing him even better after spending this special day with them. This couple is one of the sweetest couples I have been able to shoot, they are truly happy together and they deserve the best. I am happy to also announce their pregnancy and the arrival of their baby boy in the near future. I cannot wait to be able to take photos of him. Below are a few shots from their special day!

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Diefendorf!!

Sanchez {Kiddos}

The Sanchez family, a family I have known for some time now and just absolutely love spending time with. Milly and Joe have blessed this world with two amazing children, I am so glad to have been able to watch both of them grow. This two children are just obsessed with the camera and when I pull it out Payton knows exactly what to do. It is always nice to not have to direct my models!

Derek is {Growing}

My little cousin Derek is growing up so fast, he was only born in January and has gotten so big already! Its amazing how much a baby grows in their first year. I can’t wait to see what more learns and how much more he grows as time goes on. Here is a little shoot I did with him about a month ago just to document his growth.

{Aiden} is Here!

As you know, I have been putting together a maternity/newborn project for the past few months and this new mommy is part of it. This post consists of a few photos from her maternity session and a few from Aiden’s newborn session. This little guy is too sweet and was wide awake. Thank you for being so patient and allowing me to capture this special moment if your lives. Keep a look out for my final project coming in about a week!

The {Niece} Is On Her Way!

Very soon I will become an Aunt for the first time. My sister, Nicole will be having her first child in July or August of this year. My family is so excited for this bundle of joy to arrive and begin a new generation to this family. So of course being the photographer of the family I took my sister’s maternity photos. Here is a look into the session and watch out for my little niece, Jordan’s newborn session very soon!!

Jaxon is Here!

I have been putting together a maternity/newborn project for the past few months and this new mommy is part of it. I caught her about two weeks before Jaxon actually arrived and man was I lucky I did. This post consists of a few photos from her maternity session and a few from Jaxon’s newborn session. This little guy is two cute and a smile to die for. I see a lot of his dad in him but Keisha says everyone thinks he looks more like her. Thank you for being so patient and allowing me to capture this special moment if your lives. Keep a look out for my final project coming in a few weeks!

My Love To {Taplin Photo}

While at Brooks Institute I have met some incredible people and some amazing artists/photographers. I will be graduating from Brooks in exactly a month and so it is that time for graduation announcements. I asked my dear friend and felloqw photographer, Emily {Taplin} Riley from Taplin Photo to take some shots of me for my graduation announcments. While deciding when to set up the session we decided to go with a time while my boyfriend, Andrew of three years was in town so we could get some photos together. It was such a great shoot and we were having so much fun we almost forgot to even take my graduation photos. Emily does an amazing job and her style is so amazing, it defines who she is not just as a business but as a person as well. I encourage everyone to go check out her work at www.taplinphotoblog.com. She is an incredible photographer and an even better friend. I am not someone who enjoys being in front of the camera but she makes it enjoyable. Thank you Emily! Here are some of my favorites from the shoot.

Me {+} The Water

Here I am busy as a beaver and right in the smack middle of my being crazy busy, I go on a five day boat trip with my underwater class. We took off from Santa Barbara Harbor to San Clemente where we spent two days in the wonderful ocean watch bat rays, leopard sharks, sea lions and flying fish surround by tons and tons of kelp. Then from there we went to Catalina for two more days in more gorgeous ocean, lots more kelp, rocky shores, and beautiful reefs. We ended the trip at Santa Cruz Island at the Channel Islands, where I enjoyed the sun and dreaded getting off the boat when we docked back in Santa Barbara. This trip was one for the books, I know I will remember it forever and always. When I stepped off I immediately was hit with depression, I couldn’t believe it went by so fast and how amazing it truly was. The water is such an incredible place to be, and filled with so much life below it and above it. I think everyone should get a chance to explore it and I can’t wait to see it more and more. This was a great experience and I look forward to furthering my career with underwater photography. I want to take this time to thank the crew from Truth Aquatics for taking us out, keeping us safe, and making some incredible food for us. Thank you to my class from Brooks Institute of Photography for making it so much fun and enjoying the time I spent with you all. Then of course the man that made it all happen, thank you Ralph Clevenger one of the most awesome teachers I have met. Here are some photos from the trip, keep a look out for more photos as my underwater portfolio grows.
