Little {Deegan} on the Way

My friend Kirsten, whom I’ve grown up with at Lake Havasu is pregnant with her first child. While I attended her baby shower int he Los Angeles area I also took her maternity photos. I can’t believe this woman is having a baby and I cannot wait to meet this little boy. Here are some images from both her maternity session and the baby shower.

Project {Modern} Princess

What girl has not dreamt of one day becoming a Disney Princess?

Most likely growing up you watched Disney princess movies and has always dreamt of becoming one. For one time only I would like to offer YOU to become your favorite Disney princess.

Beginning January I would like to begin Project Modern Princess.

I would like to take the classic Disney Princesses and put them in modern day outfits. I plan to have one shoot per girl (princess).

I am looking for one princess each and you must look like the princess (example:  Ariel = Red Hair).  I am taking applications for each princess. The application process is in case I have more then one girl wanting to be a certain princess. If it comes down to it and I have more then one girl wanting to be lets say Belle.  Each girl will send me a picture of themselves and on my photography facebook page I will post each girl and which princess they’d like to be. Then whichever girl gets the most likes on their photo will become the princess.

How do you become the princess?

1) Take a look at my pinterest Disney Inspiration board for modern day princess outfits.

http://pinterest.com/bhphoto/disney-inspiration/

2) Must have one item that connects to that princess

(Example: Cinderella = Glass Slipper, Snow White = Apple or Red Bow).

3) Email me at bchphotography@gmail.com with your application stating which Disney princess you are interested in becoming along with a photo of yourself in your best modern princess outfit.

Now I know what you are thinking, how much is this going to be?

Each girl is required to pay $50 this is solely for Professional Hair and Makeup. The price can go up depending on each woman. Examples of how cost can go up are costumes, prints, books, products, etc. All of this will be in discussion once each woman emails me her application.

{Champagne} Party

I tried this new thing called a Champagne Party. On a Saturday I held a True Beauty Shoot for four lucky women. As each women arrived they were welcomed with a glass of Champagne (or Sparkling Cider if they were under 21). They then were given a tour of the property and then were introduced to me makeup artist and hair stylist, Erin Nicole. A Closet was set up for the women to hang their outfits and layout everything. They began with hair and makeup while be offered more champagne, fruits, and finger sandwiches. One at a time each women would get their outfits on walk to a location and shoot. To my surprise everyone showed up around the same time and hung out and chatted, laughed, and watched each toher. They all were so sweet to each other and always complimenting each other while one was modeling. It was so nice to see each one of them being comfortable and just having fun. It was the true reason I created the Champagne Party. It was a great day and I would love to have another one towards the end of January in time for Valentine’s Day. Here are some images from the entire day including behind the scenes, detail shots and of course my lovely women.

{Three} Generations

About two months ago I was lucky enough to shoot the Murdock twins along with their mother and grandmother. Jessica had asked me if they could have some photographs with their grandmother so one day when she is not here with them they will have a photograph to look back on them. This was a very quick shoot but a good one. Here are some photos I caught.

I’m an {Aunt}

After a long nine months my sister and brother in law were blessed with a little bundle of joy on August 12, 2012. After waiting int he waiting room for all hours of the day and night we were finally able to meet the little girl we had all been patiently been waiting to meet. I of course snapped a few photos of her within the first hour of her birth and then I snapped a few more the next day when we visited them in the hospital. A week after Jordan was born I also took her newborn photos. Below are all of the photos from her birth to her newborn photos. I love my little niece so much, you will be see so many more photos of her as she slowly grows.

Here {She} Comes…

Back in June, yes June my mother and I threw my sister’s baby shower for the arrival of her first born, Jordan Noel Golston. This baby shower went into a lot of detail and took a few months to finally get everything set up. Of course being the photographer I am I had to photograph the entire baby shower. Below are some of the photos I snapped. If anyone has any questions about how we made anything of where we bought some items feel free to ask. I am more than welcome to answer.

I had the pleasure of being able to work with three lovely ladies down in San Diego. It was a quick little shoot but it was quite fun. It was a great chance to meet two new women. These girls are a joy to work with and hopefully I’ll get to work with them again sometime. Thank you Brittney, Jessica, and Christina!! Here are some images from their shoot.

Diefendorf {Wedding}

I had the chance last month to take part in a good friend’s wedding. As she was my brother’s first roommate we both traveled out to San Bernardino for the day to celebrate with her. I had met her fiance a few times before but I ended up knowing him even better after spending this special day with them. This couple is one of the sweetest couples I have been able to shoot, they are truly happy together and they deserve the best. I am happy to also announce their pregnancy and the arrival of their baby boy in the near future. I cannot wait to be able to take photos of him. Below are a few shots from their special day!

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Diefendorf!!

Sanchez {Kiddos}

The Sanchez family, a family I have known for some time now and just absolutely love spending time with. Milly and Joe have blessed this world with two amazing children, I am so glad to have been able to watch both of them grow. This two children are just obsessed with the camera and when I pull it out Payton knows exactly what to do. It is always nice to not have to direct my models!

Derek is {Growing}

My little cousin Derek is growing up so fast, he was only born in January and has gotten so big already! Its amazing how much a baby grows in their first year. I can’t wait to see what more learns and how much more he grows as time goes on. Here is a little shoot I did with him about a month ago just to document his growth.
